World Renown Scientist's Computer Proves Noah's Flood

A new computer in the supercomputing department of the National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy, Los Alamos, New Mexico is being used by a world renown scientist to present evidence that the earth is less than 10,000 years old, just as the Bible says.

The program is called Terra, put together by John Baumgardner, the "world's pre-eminent expert in the design of computer models for geophysical convection..." Baumgardner is also a Bible believer who claims that Terra supports the story of Noah's flood.

In fact, Terra exists primarily because Baumgardner became a Christian after getting out of college and decided to write a program to prove scientifically that the account of the flood was accurate.

What he came up with earned him the respect of top geophysicists world-wide. The program divides the earth's crust in tiny sections and then applies the force of convection to them. What emerges is a moving picture of the shifting of islands and continents.

Of course, all such models must be built on certain assumptions. When Baumgardner enters assumptions of evolution which he does not believe, then the model seems to produce some evidence of a 4-billion-year-old earth. However, when he enters the assumption of the flood being a world-wide catastrophe many more of the pieces fit together.

He concludes that when God saw the wickedness of man before Noah, he caused an enormous blob of hot mantle material to rise on the ocean floor, pushing water over all the dry land. Then after the 150 days recorded in the Bible, the blob sank back suddenly into the earth and the water flowed back into the oceans at around 100 miles an hour. This massive erosion created places like the grand canyon, Yosemite valley and great layers of sediment.

Evolutionists have discovered what they call the Cambrian explosion, when the fossil record shows the sudden appearance of most of today's species. Baumgardner proposes that these are all skeletons deposited in the sediment when God extinguished all life on earth in the flood. The great veins of coal, created by vegetable matter, would not be there if the primordial forests were left to decay where they were. It took catastrophic action to wash the trees all together.

Baumgardner says that evolutionists wrongly assume that the movements of the earth's crust have always been the same as they are today and base their conclusion on the age of the earth on that assumption. "If you look at the geologic record there are fingerprints of catastrophe everywhere one looks", he says.

Scott Huse, in his book The Collapse of Evolution, elaborates: "Not a single, indisputable, multicellular fossil has ever been found in Pre-cambrian rocks..." Yet, billions of fossils of highly advanced life forms are found in the Cambrian rocks. "In short, the fossil record reveals that life appeared abruptly in great diversity, complexity, and abundance without any ancestors from which to evolve! Clearly, this is not evidence for gradual organic evolution. This is supernatural creation."
