One-World Code Words Foreshadow Trouble for Bible Believers
Issue Date: March/April 2015

Code words are emerging pointing to the one-world system envisioned by Bible prophecy. A new Ambassador-at-Large for Religious Freedom has been appointed by the U.S. President. David Saperstein is the first Jew to hold the position and wasted no time identifying some of the current threats to religious freedom such as the rising anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic sentiment in Western Europe and the purging of the Christians in Islamic countries.

One of Saperstein’s goals stated in his acceptance speech was to “help in shaping policies that contribute to isolating and delegitimizing extremist religious voices.” (Emphasis added)

Another voice attempting to speak to the problem of religious freedom is former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Since leaving office he has established the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. It is founded on the belief that “religious ideology would become the pre-eminent driving force of global events this century.” The Foundation’s goal is to “provide the support required to prevent religious conflict and extremism in order to promote open minded and stable societies.” Foundation projects include education of international leaders on ways to “challenge and uproot the ideology of religious extremists.”

All of this sounds like wonderful endeavors to try to nullify some of the “ideologies” that, today, cause beheading, sexual bondage, poverty and injustice in more than half of the world. But Blair’s promotion of “open minded and stable societies” by uprooting the “ideology of religious extremists” carries an ominous overtone for Bible believers who are regularly labeled extremists. Take for example, Pope Francis’ recent remarks: “In ideologies there is not Jesus... And ideologies are rigid, always... But it is a serious illness, this of ideological Christians.”

The dictionary defines ideology as a belief system that guides an individual or group. The term is coming to the front with even the U.S. president vowing, in his 2015 State-of-the-Union address, to stand up against “the bankrupt ideology of violent extremism.” It is becoming a common global buzz word for all the evil people in the world.

In another quote, it is clear that the pope equates his despised ideological Christians with someone else he hates: fundamentalists.

On June 13, 2014, he said: “A fundamentalist group, although it may not kill anyone, although it may not strike anyone, is violent. The mental structure of fundamentalists is violence in the name of God.”

On November 30, 2014, he said: “You... can’t say that all Christians are fundamentalists. We have our share of them (fundamentalists). All religions have these little groups.” So, if an ideology is a belief system, then the pope is saying that these bad “ideological Christians” are anyone who disagrees with him.

All these voices are talking up a world with “open minded and stable societies,” using Blair’s terms. This is a utopia where “we all just get along.” But anyone who threatens this “harmony” by calling someone a sinner or suggesting that another’s “ideology” might consign him to hell in the afterlife, threatens the stability of society. Open-mindedness will not be “open” to anyone who expresses God’s closed minded opinion about marriage being just between a man and woman.

A recent example of “voices” that Saperstein wants to “isolate” took place in Singapore where a Christian bookstore owner was threatened with prosecution under local “harmony laws” for carrying Chick tracts for sale.

Satan knows the power of words. But we know the power of God’s Words. Soul winners, we must work while we can. We must saturate the culture with the truth to counter the pope’s false gospel and Blair’s one-world pipe dream.
