For six years, Rick Jones worked at a Christian home for troubled teenagers. While there, he dealt with teens having every problem imaginable. After working with thousands of young people and their parents, he saw first-hand that the destruction of teens was well-planned by Satan. And to make matters worse, Satan was using the same basic techniques to destroy almost every young person.

He also saw that once young people became aware of the fact that they were in a spiritual war and that Satan was striving to doom them to a Christless eternity, they were much more receptive to the gospel. The success of these teens motivated the writing of both Stairway To Hell and How To Be a Successful Teenager. These books offer the same eye-opening information to "wake teens up" and the same Bible-based advice to help them grow once they receive Christ. Both books also offer strong salvation messages.

Having been born and raised as a Roman Catholic motivated the writing of his third book, Understanding Roman Catholicism. With over twenty years of living the life of a Catholic, he saw the dramatic difference between the emptiness of that religion and the wonderful and fulfilling personal relationship with Jesus Christ that true salvation offers. Not wanting a single Catholic to die without Christ, God burdened him to help Catholics understand that their religion cannot save...only Jesus can.
