Message From Jack Chick July/August 2011

Dear ones in Christ,

In the 1800s there was a mining community that had descended to the lowest depths humanly possible. The men all had lewd, rotten contempt for the women. Most were drunks. Everyone was blaspheming God`s name and they were all without hope, angry and lost in total darkness.

Beloved, that same darkness is back and starting to cover America and is moving into our churches. Listen to teenagers talk about girls. The b-word is used constantly. Comedy on TV has become a sewer. Rap music words are an abomination. Honor, respect and honesty are scorned. Jesus is outlawed in our schools, but not Allah. Pastors are reluctant to blast sin. Hell fire and damnation is avoided so as not to offend the congregation. This opens the floodgates for darkness to expand.

Notice the words of Daniel Webster: "If religious literature is not widely circulated among the masses in this country, I do not know what is going to become of us as a nation. If truth is not diffused (poured out in every direction), error will be; if God and his word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain the ascendancy (to control); if the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet (small village or town), the pages of a corrupt and licentious (absence of moral or legal restraint) will. If the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land, anarchy (chaos) and misrule, degradation and misery, corruption and darkness will reign without mitigation (softening) or end."                  (Written in 1823.)

Years ago, a couple of soul winners saturated a juvenile hall with our tracts. The warden was stunned. That night, as a result, there were no fights, rapes or stabbings. As they were exposed to the gospel, there was peace and calm. There have been similar results in other jails and prisons.

Recently, a very dangerous area in Mexico was flooded with food packages containing 5 different tracts in Spanish. A wide variety of titles were used in different packages so they would be shared. Later, church leaders found a noticeable change in the atmosphere of the area. One youngster claimed that he had read 15 different tracts. In a prison, in the area housing 800 prisoners, about 225 inmates accepted Christ after a similar gospel saturation with tracts.

Beloved, God has raised up Chick Publications in these last days. People are afraid. We`ve all got to do our part. Every time you leave a tract somewhere or pass a tract to some lost soul, you bring light into the darkness. Don`t leave home without them.

May God protect you, bless you, and give you boldness.

I love you all,

Yours in Christ,

Jack T. Chick, President
