Mission Report - September 27th, 2024
We continue to be amazed at how God’s people keep supporting Chick tracts for missions! With over 6 million Chick tracts provided for missions already this year, you are making an impact.
Papua New Guinea
Several years ago, in 2021 (while COVID was still rampant) you gave to help send a container of one million Chick tracts to Missionary Chad Wells (Wiru Baptist Press) in the back country of Papua New Guinea. Wells’ facility had been destroyed by a fire, and you provided a lot of Chick tracts to keep the Gospel flowing.
Those tracts are still being passed around! We just received some pictures from there, and want to share them with you. Meet some of the folks who are still receiving those Chick tracts in Papua New Guinea! Maybe we will see some of them in heaven! By the way, English and Pidgin (Tok Pisin) are official languages of Papua New Guinea, even though there are still 840 tribal languages spoken in the interior.
Dave Darling of Campaigns for Christ, just got back from organizing a campaign for next summer in which they want to distribute Chick tracts here. Every time one of these missionary groups ask for Chick tracts, you have stepped up. We know you will help with this upcoming crusade, too. God bless you!
Philippines
The 5th container of Chick tracts for many ministries in the Philippines will soon be on the way! We have a steamship booking arranged and the container will be loaded October 9th. Once it reaches Manila, we will still have the considerable expense of transportation between the islands to get it into the hands of the missionary street teams, so your help is still needed.
With the median age of the entire population being under age 25, it is vital to find ways to reach this young audience. Chick tracts are an effective way to get it done! Enjoy this short video of a small group of children reading their Chick tract for the first time!
India
Your giving has continued to supply the street outreach of Lordson Roch in Goa, India. He has a team of church members regularly working the streets. Enjoy a few of the pictures he has shared with us. Thank you for keeping this team supplied with Chick tracts on the crowded streets of Goa! Roch reports “We had in the last one month about 9 people visit our church on SONdays because of the Chick tracts. . . Souls are getting saved.”

Upcoming Needs:
- Approximately $20,000 to ship a 5th container, with 1,446,000 tracts, to the Philippines, which includes the expense of inter-island transport to ministries all over the islands. Missionary Gerald Sutek in Cagayan de Oro says his teams are completely out of Chick tracts! This container is packed to the ceiling. More ministries are begging for tracts. Will you help us start another Philippine container?
- 20,000 Swahili and English tracts headed to Missionary Nathanael Steinbart in Kenya, where they will be used to plant a new church.
- Missionary Lee Cadenhead is planning an outreach with Campaigns for Christ in Zimbabwe. They have asked for Chick tracts to be included in a container they are sending over. Cadenhead writes, “Over the next year, we three missionaries currently based out of the same city, will be fanning out across the country. This will compound our capacity for mass distribution.” By adding these Chick tracts to a container already headed there, we will have NO SHIPPING COST. That’s a great way to make our missions dollars go farther!
