Every week brings new missionary requests for Chick tracts.  It’s only because of your faithfulness in giving that the mission fund can keep filling their needs.  Last year you provided more than 7.7 million Chick tracts to missionaries worldwide.  Here are a few things going on now:

United Kingdom - A great example of the effectiveness of missions for the last generation is Cross Mission, operating in the greater London area.  The missionaries who labored for years in Korea left behind churches that are now strong enough to send out their own missionaries.  Cross Mission is a Korean mission dedicated to the evangelism of England (imagine, evangelism is now needed in the country that gave us our English Bible!).  To gain attention, they parade through British towns carrying a cross, passing out Chick tracts and preaching.

They also do a lot of personal evangelism.  Kristina Kim and her husband, part of this Korean mission, prowl the streets of Kingston, just south of London, with the Chick tracts you provide.  Kristina writes, “Every day I have new testimonies about people whom I am meeting in Kingston, especially about Muslim evangelism.  There are Muslims rushing into my area in the southern part of London.”  She reports that she meets 2 – 3 Muslims nearly every day, and is showing them the Light of the World, Jesus Christ.  They respond well to her gentle approach, listening to her witness and accepting Chick tracts.

Using the Chick tracts you provided, she has seen Muslims, Hindus and even agnostics come to Jesus in faith.  Thank you for supplying her!  Now she needs 10,000 more.

Brazil - Veteran missionary Jonathan Hernandez has served since 2006 in Brazil, Peru and Colombia.  Having started seven churches, he now pastors two churches in a small city deep in the Amazon basin.  It wasn’t easy, but we were able to get Chick tracts into his hands there.  In the photo below, a Brazilian man in the Amazon is reading one of the Chick tracts that you provided.  Hernandez reports the tracts have been a huge blessing, and asked how he can get more.

Dominican Republic - Joshua Stertz, of Couriers For Christ, called with a last-minute need.  Because of your giving, we were able to immediately step up to help.  Stertz wrote: “I am about to take a team of 21 believers from the USA to the Samana Peninsula in the Dominican Republic for an evangelistic outreach.  It is our desire to work alongside Pastor Carlos Mora and his wife Sara with their church planting efforts. We are planning to have several days of literature distribution and invitations for young people to attend an evening youth evangelistic conference throughout the week of March 3-8.” 

Thank you for providing the 10,000 Chick tracts they needed for their street witnessing.

Mauritius - We are making printing arrangements for 10,000 French “This Was Your Life” that are needed by Missionary James Herringson on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.  The tracts are helping them build the church here.

Guyana - Some months ago, you provided 150,000 Chick tracts for soul-winning in Guyana.  Pastor Ibrahim (a converted Muslim) reports that 55,000 of those have already been distributed.  He thanks you for investing in the Lord’s work in Guyana.

Honduras - We have a new project coming up.  Missionary Lacy Wheeler, who sends containers of literature into Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Honduras, says that when the last 200,000 tracts went to Honduras, some of the pastors took some of the Chick tracts down to Panama.  They’re going everywhere!  Here a few pictures taken of the workers in Panama as they went door to door.

Now, they are out of tracts.  Wheeler said there were 23 pickup trucks of pastors coming to pick up tracts to blanket their communities.  They need 400,000 more!  Watch for more information coming soon!
