I am now retired and work part time in a nursing home. At first I had a hard time giving out tracts to the very elderly but then I got a bright idea to give them to all the truck drivers that bring supplies. They bring them back to their main plant and help give them out. They also go housekeeping, linen, laundry, food service companys and many hospitals around NJ, NY and Conn. In that line of work many Spanish speaking people work there. My Spanish Chick Tracts are now being requested by the drivers. They give them to their family members as well. — R.W. (New Jersey)

Mexico – 50,000 Chick tracts are now on the way to Walt and Maria Selman in Mexico City.   They wrote, “Our ministries here involve door to door visitation, preaching and tract distribution on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the Hospital District.“  They also periodically have teams come from the U.S. to help them with big soul-winning outreaches, and these tracts will provide the ammunition for that work.

When Missionary Mitch Muller requested Chick tracts, he wrote: “They’ve pretty much used up the 50,000 that you provided for them last year.  There are a lot of great works going on down there in the Yucatán so they go through them (Chick tracts) quickly. If you could possibly spare another 50,000 that would be amazing, but they would be thankful for any amount.”  At that time, we did not have funding for the full 50,000, but we were able to send him 24,000 to tide him over until we could provide more.

There are another 15,000 Chick tracts on the way to Theodore Buitendyk in Leon, Mexico.  He wrote: “Leon here has something like 2.2 million people and the need in this city is massive.  There are high density poor neighborhoods with pretty much zero gospel exposure.  Very sketchy places but the light of the Gospel drives back the darkness.  We lift up the name of Jesus and salvation in HIM ... Repentance and faith and hope through the cross and love if God.  The people need to hear it.  In the neighborhood I was yesterday there are thousands of kids that don't even go to school due to lack of space for them.”

Philippines – Since the Lord provided the means to get large amounts of Gospel tracts into this country, we have been going all out, sending a total of 6 ocean containers of Chick tracts to between one and two hundred ministries throughout this nation of 7,641 islands, of which 2,000 islands are inhabited. At the time of this writing, the most recent container was approaching a port in Taiwan, where it will be transferred to another ship heading south to Manila.

Many of the ministries we support have been able to arrange to get into the schools and provide Chick tracts to the kids.  What a wonderful investment in the future generation!  Here is a picture, from the last container load, showing what happens when Chick tracts get into the classroom . . . everything else is forgotten while these kids get a lesson in how to have eternal life!

As the next container approaches the Philippines, this process is ready to start again!

India – Missionary Lordson Roch and his team continue to work the streets of Goa to bring Jesus to the masses of this second most populous country in the world.  Here is a group of happy boys who just got Chick tracts.  They are about to learn that there is always Someone who cares about them.

Roch and his team have completely run out of Chick tracts, and are requesting more (see “Current Needs” below).  He wrote, “We are greatly blessed by several individuals saved and now as families added to our church. The reason was we have been faithful in passing out the Chick tracts.  Just last Saturday we had one family that got our Chick tracts, came to church on SONday and worshiped the Lord with us. They came back for Bible study and have shown commitment to join our church.”

Honduras – Thank you for supporting the work in this Latin American country. Presswork is now completed on all 400,000 of the Chick tracts requested by Missionary Lacy Wheeler. We are currently binding and boxing them, hoping to get them shipped sometime next week. The churches there are waiting!
