Customer Pressure Is Reshaping America

Spring has arrived, but something more than May flowers is blossoming. Encouraging signs of a spiritual revival are also emerging. One of the most unexpected moments came on Easter Sunday, when American Idol, a cultural staple, aired a “Songs of Faith” episode. Contestants and judges performed gospel classics and worship anthems.

These tracts are definitely anointed! I've given out tracts and people have gotten to save through them. Especially the tract," The Letter" That tract has transformed lives!!!

Thanks to your faithful giving, hundreds of thousands of Chick tracts continue to go missionaries worldwide.  Here is what is happening this week:

Mexico (Mexico City) – Missionary Mike Wallace has been using Chick tracts for years to start new churches.  Over and over again, you have provided him with ammunition he needs.  We just received this report from him:

Mexico City is so big and grows every day, but also the opportunities to minister here continue to grow.  One of the recent growing ministries we have is ministering in the local drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers.  Most of those who are locked up there stay from 6 to 12 months.  In general, they are a hard and rough teenagers & men, many involved with local gangs and some with the cartels. 

When we are granted access for the first time to a new facility, we go introduce ourselves and take Bibles and Chick tracts to leave with them.  They love the Chick tracts.  Sometimes we also take clothing.  As they read the Chick tracts, the gospel begins to soften the hearts of many of them.  We take several titles of the Chick tracts and after they read one title, they exchange them with the others.

We went back to these places and preached the gospel and there were about 50 present in each rehab. centers. More than half of them in each center trusted Christ as Savior.  We then were able to baptize 17 at the one center.  We plan to go back to the other center and baptized those who trusted Christ & want to get baptized. 

There is turn over in these centers with new people arriving and some leaving.  Some who have left recently kept some tracts that have our church information, then called about attending services.  Praise the Lord some are now attending our church.  Over and over it proves so true the Chick tracts get read, and they work. 

Br. Wallace has asked for 40,000 more tracts, which will be printed soon.

 Wallace reports many of these men accept Christ and find freedom from addiction.

In this Mexican rehab center, they pass these around until they have ALL read them!

Mexico (Oaxaca) – Missionary Joe Hendrigsman has requested 2.4 million Chick tracts for the network of churches that work with him in Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.  Many of these tracts also get across the border into Guatemala.  This is a huge project.  Since we can’t devote everything to one project, we are helping Hendrigsman with a first shipment of 400,000 tracts. They have all been printed, and are moving through the bindery.  We have the funds for this first shipment, and as you keep giving faithfully we will be able to continue with more.

Mexico (León) – As this report is being written, the 15,000 tracts for Missionary Theodore Buitendyk have just arrived in this city of 2.2 million people.  He is excited to use them.  Your gift will make a difference!

India – Missionary Lordson Roch and his team have been very faithful with Chick tracts for years.  Their church is growing as a result!  This month, you provided for 40,000 more Chick tracts for the streets of Goa, India.  To avoid excessive duties and taxes, these will be printed in India.

Israel – Missionary Bruce Hunsaker (Philippines) is taking a trip to Israel.  Being the soul-winner that he is, he wanted Hebrew Chick tracts to take with him.  Your giving made it possible.  The tracts are now in his hands, ready to go to Israel.

Latvia – Missionary Josh McBryar, out of TBMI Missions, is headed to Latvia for an outreach there.  You provided 10,000 Latvian Chick tracts for this outreach.

Philippines – The container of nearly 2 million Chick tracts is now through customs and making its way across the islands to over 140 ministries.  You made this possible through your faithfulness. As these tracts are spread through the country of over 100 million people, the result is always more ministries asking for literature.  This Philippines mission work is not done, but just beginning.  We will surely need to send another container, perhaps by next year.
