Shroud of Turin: Still a Fake

Two men saw Jesus’ tomb the morning He rose from the dead — and their testimony destroys the Shroud of Turin. Catholic promoters claim this linen cloth wrapped the Lord’s body and even bears His image. But John and Simon Peter tell a different story.

As a priest, Charles Chiniquy had a problem . . . he read his Bible.
After obediently preaching his church’s doctrine of Mary our Intercessor, he went home and read where Mary made public requests (intercessions) to Jesus on behalf of someone else. In each case, she was rebuked! Chiniquy was devastated.
He had preached a falsehood!
In chapter after chapter, we follow Chiniquy as he realizes that the doctrines of his Catholic Church are contrary to his Bible. Finally, he left Rome, taking nearly his entire parish with him, to follow Jesus alone.

Halloween Testimonies

We gave out about 60 tracts this Halloween, some to parents as well as to the children! So grateful for Chick tracts that make this ministry possible, with an effective way to reach these beautiful children with the gospel. It is a blessing to be able to give the children a real treat. I look forward to eternity to see how many people have been reached because a child was handed a Chick tract on Halloween :) — R. M. (Email)
Fewer kids at the door on Halloween?
Read how this Christian found a great solution!

Halloween and Chick have gone together for me since...let's see, probably 1975. The kids and I handed them out first to the trick-or-treaters who came to our door, and then friendly neighbors who filled my children's bags with candy, popcorn, home-baked cookies and caramel apples. Those were the good old days.
Now my kids are grown and gone, as are those innocent days when children received only kind, safe, harmless responses to their playful door knocking.
Very few children knock on my door now, cautious parents don't let them roam, and "trunk-or-treat" is the custom in most communities. I still prepare the snack-bag treats of candy and a Chick tract but instead of waiting for the kids to come, I go to them at the local festival. I start at the front of the parade and walk backwards down the line, handing out my snack bags to children, teens, parents and babies in strollers. In the festive atmosphere everyone takes a bag and says, "Thank you." Afterwards I take the remainder in a basket to the local shopping mall and, again, all the shoppers return my "Happy Halloween" greeting and take the bag I offer.
This year some of my Sunday School friends helped prepare the bags and it took a long time because everybody got sidetracked reading all the tracts before filling the bags.
If people in Heaven can watch down here, I know Jack Chick and Jesus were sharing delighted grins over the whole scene. — J. H. (Oklahoma)

It’s amazing how many of you have stepped up to supply missionaries with Chick tracts! We are continually shipping to them. Some of you have sent major gifts, which will go a long way toward meeting the overwhelming number of missionary requests. Here are a few of the things happening this week:
Philippines – We continue to print more than 2 million tracts and prepare for the 7th Philippine container, due to be shipped the end of this year. We are encouraged by photos coming in from the ministries using tracts from the last container. One group has an amazing ability to get into the schools, and preach and give Chick tracts to the students. Enjoy just a few of the many pictures they send to us:

Ivory Coast – The 80,000 French tracts for Missionaries Dan and Joan Cuthbertson were just delivered and will be loaded this weekend into the container headed for West Africa. If you would like to learn more about their ministry, visit their website here: http://www.cuthbertsons.org/
Thailand – Missionary Anthony Reitberg has served for 23 years in Thailand. He requested 8,000 Thai “Tycoon” to be passed out on the streets while he is street preaching. We just shipped them to him.

Missionary Pat Caspary connects us with several ministries, some of whom work among the refugees displaced by the war in Burma. This week, the first shipments of thousands of tracts were delivered, and we expect a second shipment to be delivered this week. Here we see Chick tracts being passed out to them, and also children being led in prayer.

Mexico – There is a lot going on with the Gospel in Mexico.
- Missionary Todd Eklund, in Huixquilucan (just outside Mexico City), is busy passing out the tracts you provided. He just received his second shipment and a third is on the way.
- Mexicali - We have just finished printing 270,000 Spanish Chick tracts for Missionary Paul Buskager to use in the upcoming outreach in Mexicali. Working with over 60 pastors plus many workers from the U.S., they have big plans to reach Mexicali (city of 3 million) for Jesus. Thank you for giving them the ammunition! It was shipped yesterday.
