Is That Scripture?

Hi Friend, đź‘‹

Let’s talk about the Codex Sinaiticus—the manuscript that tipped scholars away from the preserved King James Bible and changed hundreds of scriptures.

đź“– Why It Matters

  • Sinaiticus is why almost every modern Bible includes that note about Mark 16:9-20 not belonging. That’s 12 whole verses of the Gospel’s ending!
  • They want people to trust the Sinaiticus over the King James, but can anyone tell you which parts are truly scripture?

❓ Questions We Can’t Answer

  • Who wrote the final text?
    • Scribe A – main scribe
    • Scribe D – corrector
    • B1, B2 – wrote prophets and other writings
  • It even contains the Shepherd of Hermas, teaching Jesus was adopted at baptism—not eternally God’s Son!
  • How do we know which words are scripture and which are corrections or guesses?

📝 Corrections and Omissions

  • Entire chapters and books are missing: Most of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, and Judges; missing Ruth, 1–2 Samuel, 1–2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Amos, and Micah… over a quarter of the Bible.
  • Yet it contains Apocrypha, like Tobit, Judith, Maccabees, Wisdom of Solomon, and Sirach.
  • Pages were altered, omitted, or corrected—even mid-sentence—making it impossible to know what was original.

⚠️ The Problem with Tischendorf

  • Tischendorf claimed he found and preserved Sinaiticus, but investigations show:
    • His story is inconsistent and unreliable
    • Researchers say his account cannot be taken at face value
  • The people promoting Sinaiticus cannot clearly identify which parts are scripture.

đź’ˇ Faith and Trust

  • Modern critical texts, endorsed by the Catholic Church and others, rely on Sinaiticus and Vaticanus.
  • But the faithful King James Bible has been tried, tested, and proved for over 400 years—kept safe by God, despite persecution.

🙏 Takeaway

  • Don’t base your faith on a document full of omissions, corrections, and guesses.
  • Trust the Word God preserved: the King James Bible.
  • It has never failed, and prayerful study will show you why it’s reliable.

Testimony

"A Must Read!"

"Great book! It is a needed challenge to the oft repeated (ad nauseum) false narrative that the KJB is hard to read...This will give you plenty of ammo to defend against such an attack. The author makes the case with at least 30 points why the King James Bible is superior, and gives his quintessential dictionary of KJB words that may be tough to understand, and provides many unique charts of weights, measures, currencies, etc. You need this in your library!"
