Gatekeeping Truth — Making it Disappear

Last week, the founder of a Christian gaming app called TruPlay appealed to Congress after TikTok and Google repeatedly rejected his advertisements. The platforms cited their policy on targeting people for “religious content” as being the issue. But even after the language was revised and the targeting broadened, the ads were still rejected. Eventually, TikTok banned all TruPlay advertising from the platform.

I go to the library and purchase a lot of different magazines for 10 cents each.  My magazine choices were cars, cooking, beauty, and anything that would perk someone’s interest. I would go through each one and remove any offensive ads.  Then, I would put a tract in each magazine. Some of the tracts were in English, and others would be in Spanish. Also, I would take them to the laundromat and leave them in their materials to read baskets.

Thanks to your giving, the Chick Mission Fund continues to supply foreign missionaries with Chick tracts all over the world.

Japan – In this very dense population, it’s hard to get the Gospel into a lot of homes. Missionary E.G. puts Chick tracts the one place every apartment dweller will visit . . . his mailbox!

Zambia – We have finished printing the 70,000 Chick tracts for missionary Mike Dobbins in the Copperbelt Region of Zambia, and are now arranging pickup by the shipper.

Chile – We have shipped the 500,000 Spanish “This Was Your Life” to Ridgeview Baptist Church, who will be handling the shipping for missionary Lacy Wheeler’s container heading to Chile.

Philippines – Currently, the Container has crossed the Pacific and is expected to arrive in Manila in the next few days. While the 100+ ministries wait for this new shipment, they are still passing out tracts from the last container. Here are some pictures from their outreaches.

Mexico – We have printed all 80,000 tracts for Missionary Walt Selman in Mexico City and are currently making shipping arrangements.

Mexico – We have now printed all 40,000 Chick tracts for missionary Mike Wallace in Mexico City. We will ship them next week to Texas where he will cross the border and pick them up. This means no shipping cost to the Mission Fund.

Mexico – Missionary Paul Buskager is preparing for his upcoming outreach in soccer camps in the city of Juarez and needs 183,000 Chick tracts. Here is a picture from his last outreach in Mexicali.

Ghana – Missionary James Ruckman in West Africa will be receiving a container shipped by Ridgeview Baptist Church. The Mission Fund is providing 250,000 Chick tracts to go in that container.

Germany – We are completing the final title of three German tracts for Missionary Nico Verhoef. A Chick donor has paid for this project.
