A Message from David W. Daniels

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

We have a tragedy and an opportunity.

The tragedy was illustrated in George Barna’s study of the beliefs of the next generation: only 36% of 13–14-year-olds believe God is the Creator and only 2% of parents could describe a Biblical worldview!

God told us what to do when He told Israel what to do with His words:

Deuteronomy 6:7 “And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”

In my book, the New King James – The Bridge Bible, there is the story of Sam Moore and his son, Joe. When faced with the failure to train his son, Sam produced a Bible that changed the meanings of King James words to match modern corrupt versions, instead of teaching Joe how to read God’s preserved words in English, the KJV.

It is becoming obvious that most Christian parents today are disobeying God’s command to teach His words to their children.

In the Bible, every time Israel ignored Deuteronomy 6:7, their children turned from God and soon came under God’s judgment. How can we avoid the same fate?

What is the solution?

Get the one Bible that absolutely is the words of God, in English the King James Bible, and teach it day and night to your family, as God said! Encourage the children to ask questions, and even if the parents don’t yet know the answers, let them pray and read the Bible and discover the answers together! That is what Deborah and I did in our family.

We also had pretty much every Chick tract available at the time, and we all read them and discussed what was in them, as well as the Crusader comics. Sometimes when I challenged what they said, further research proved they were right, and I was wrong. And the kids got a good example of a parent for whom the Bible is the final authority.

This had one extra benefit: knowing what was in the tracts helped us better figure which tracts should be given to which people!

Family time in prayer, the King James Bible and Chick tracts. It made a huge difference in our family. It will in yours, as well.

In Christ Jesus, and for His service,
