Thanks to your giving, missionaries all over the world are continuing to be equipped with powerful Chick tracts! We encourage you to subscribe to the Chick email newsletter, so you can receive weekly updates on Mission Fund projects. Meanwhile, here is a brief review of what has happened since the last printed Battle Cry.
The Ecuador container has been shipped and they have received the 500,000 Chick tracts at Ridgeview Baptist Church. The church will now be sending the container into Ecuador.
Missionary Walt Selman is very thankful for the tracts you provided and quickly got to work distributing them. He writes, “Thank You for your help in the ministry here!” Here are a couple of pictures from his outreaches.
Missionary Peter Putney has now received all 20,000 Chick tracts. We sent his tracts in four shipments of 5,000 to save on customs costs.
The 1,000,000 tracts for the container heading to Venezuela has been shipped and received in Tennessee by Bro. Stanley Miller. He received the container for Missionary Lacy Wheeler, and writes, “Thank you SO MUCH for faithfulness in getting the Gospel around the world!” They are now preparing the container for shipment to Venezuela. Pray that these tracts will touch many hearts for the gospel.
The Panama container is printed, boxed, and ready to go. It shipped on June 15th and has begun its journey to Panama. These 1,000,000 Chick tracts will end up in schools all over Panama. The team eagerly awaits this shipment.
We have shipped 35,000 tracts to Missionary Adam Fridenstine and they have been delivered to him in Cojutepeque. He writes, “We have received the tracts. Thank you so much. We are very excited to have them, we will put them into use immediately!”
The long-difficult mission field of Cuba is believed to be opening up. Missionary Gary Schwer of “Hands Across the Border” will be sending a container full of Chick tracts and Bibles into the country. We have shipped him 250,000 Chick tracts and he has now received them.
Missionary R.M. (name withheld) has received 10,000 Chick tracts for use among the Chinese speaking people. He uses creative methods to get them in.
We are currently making shipping arrangements for the 200,000 tracts for Missionary Scott Sumner. Bro. Sumner is excited and ready to get these tracts out into the hands of the locals in Honduras. Here are some pictures from his previous outreach.
Missionary Brian Green needs 40,000 tracts. These tracts have been shipped and delivered to Vermont, where Bro. Green will pick them up and take them across the border into Canada.
Missionary Tom Latham has now received 10,000 Chick tracts from a printer near the Brazilian border. After many hardships the tracts have finally gotten through and been delivered. He writes, “I now have all 10,000 tracts. THANKS, I HANDED OUT 200 TODAY!”
Missionary Jason Madera needs 10,000 Chick tracts. These tracts have just been shipped to him in Agugliaro, northeastern Italy. From his last outreaches he writes, “We had 4 saved in 4 months from December through March and pray the Lord adds more! What a blessing you are to the missionaries around the world! What would the front lines look like with a steady supply of ammo from the warriors back at the home front!!!” This project has been generously paid for in full by a Chick donor.
Missionary Carlos Madrigal sent us an update on how he’s been handing out Chick tracts to the Japanese people. He has been handing out “gift packages” with Chick tracts in them and writes, “The ministry in Japan continues to grow; little by little, we are making friends with more Japanese people and thus sharing the gospel of Christ. Regarding the Chick tracts, we have distributed them in schools, in the places where we study Japanese, and we have given them to individuals in many of the places we frequent. It is a way of sharing Christ that I personally find effective. God continues to work in the hearts of the Japanese. Thank you very much for all your help. Please extend my thanks on behalf of the Madrigal family, missionaries in Japan, to the entire Chick team, and the donors.”
Missionary Derek Hansen writes, “Chick tracts at work in El Centro de Punta Arenas Chile.” The picture below shows just one of the creative ways Bro. Hansen gets Chick tracts out!
Missionary Christopher Resmondo needs 10,000 Chichewa “Who Loves You?” for outreaches he has planned. These tracts were just shipped to Pastor Zack Colvin and his team in Florida, who will be taking them on the plane to Malawi. This project has been paid for in full by a generous Chick donor.
