Letter From David W. Daniels Sept 2025

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Civility is back – and we can use it to the Lord’s advantage!

Remember the term, “Ladies and Gentlemen”? I have seen it more than usual lately. I am experiencing the same politeness that I see in church, only it’s outside church! People are opening doors for each other, constantly saying “Excuse me” and “You first.” Old-fashioned politeness has worked its way back into our community.

You know what else? A major trend has reversed for the first time in decades!

Young people, especially young men, are attending church and asking questions of Christians! What a blessing! For years, men were put down. Now they are taking a second look at those who treat them as people, and valuable in the Lord’s sight.

Even children are starting to be freed from the pressure to be LGBTQ+. Courts have found in favor of the parents’ right to remove their children from that propaganda in their classrooms. That’s one more encouragement for them to behave as “good boys and girls.” I love seeing it at our local restaurants. More polite families.

At the same time, so many people need the freedom of salvation and forgiveness in Christ. That’s where we come in. Our salvation offer extends beyond hope in this life, into eternity! It’s not just fire insurance: it’s a relationship with the Almighty, who loves them. They don’t just learn how to have a good life. They are enabled by the Holy Ghost to grow the way that God intended, into godly parents, mature adult men and women, who then pass their legacy of faith down to their children.

And it can start with something as simple as handing them a Chick tract. I compliment their wonderful manners, then offer them a free cartoon. They almost always say “Yes” and “Thank you”! It’s beautiful!

For me, it starts with being ready, packing my pockets and/or bags with Chick tracts, and “loading my hand” so I’m ready to hand it out. I’d love to hear from you about what God did for you as you handed out Chick tracts. Write to postmaster@chick.com.

God bless you as you plant the seed of the gospel!

In Christ Jesus, and for His service, David Daniels
