Letter From David W. Daniels Mar 2026

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Don’t you hate it when people are wringing their hands, saying, “Ain’t it awful?” but giving us no solutions?

Here’s one: busy families who don’t talk to each other. Our time is spent on the internet: online chats, work, and “doom scrolling” the depressing and anxiety-producing internet.

How can we bring God into the picture in our families? (See Deuteronomy 6:7).

That’s where Chick tracts can come in. They serve a special function: interrupting our lives. They can be used in many ways to reach our children:

  • Coloring books for the younger children. We can read the tract story to them and they can color away or copy the cartoon drawings.
  • Older children can read them to us, showing their progress in reading with expression.
  • Young adults can be asked questions raised from the tracts. Are there questions they or their friends have about God or the Bible? It’s a great time to listen.
  • When can this happen? While driving in the car, during any meals you are together, and of course, at bedtime.

My son tells me, “It starts with listening, treating them like people, trying to be a part of their lives. They are our future.”

What we need are one or more Chick tracts and a Bible to answer questions.

The Devil is fighting hard. It takes prayer and Bible reading to combat him. But God gives us the answers in His word, for all our life situations.

This is winnable! God bless you as you prayerfully reach all the children in your sphere of influence.

In Christ Jesus, and for His service,

David W. Daniels
